Most educators have core values regarding their beliefs about learners. But educators' beliefs may not match their practices. The purpose of this workshop is to provide an understanding of a paradigm shift from teaching adult thinking grounded in input-output pedagogical practices, to practices that are relevant, practical, and meaningful for the way that students actually learn. Advanced Level Workshop.

Key Concepts: Pedagogy, andragogy, learning models (2-tier vs. 4-tier), Neuro-semantic Language Learning Theory (NsLLT), learning and thinking, language acquisition
Learner Objectives: Participants will be able to: 1) Explain the Neuro-Semantic Language Learning Theory (NsLLT) is different from the assumptions of education based on behaviorism and theory of mind (ToM) and 2) Explain the similarities and differences between andragogy and pedagogy.
